Pop Culture

             We learned about pop culture, it has two components: “popular” and “culture”. How I understood, Popular is chosen and enjoyed by group of people, culture refers to body of beliefs, behaviors, values and influence us every day. Popular culture is “fabric of our lives”, it is compounds of all the objects, people, evens, and places to which include a society at any time, past or present.  When I learn four compound, I easy remember them, because we are using in daily life. For example, objects as cultural icons include iPhone, it is popular and brand.

People or characters include Harry Potter, film was very popular that’s why it is popular now, too.  Events include Thanksgiving Day, that holiday is like passed on from generation to generation. Places are including amusement park, shopping,” walk of fame”, when I learned about that I remind culture is shared.  For example, “walk of fame” is shared about pop stars.

           Cultural Icons is not only object, it can be a symbol, picture and name, etc.

I would like tell you about fads and trend. Before I didn’t know them. Fads is temporary fashion, it is especially followed by group of people, but not for long time. For example, Pokémon was popular in 1990s, that time every children have something with Pokémon picture, they collected played cards and stickers. But now, Pokémon is not famous like that. How I learned, Trend is constant fashion, we read about Shakespeare, before he wasn’t famous, not many people interested him words, but now at most of school student have read his novels.

         What makes a star? I read about Michael Jackson, he found a way to make react singing, dancing with how do it, they helped to do something phenomenal and unique. That is why he was intergalactically brilliant pop star. One of the reasons was his penchant for the ridiculous, the overblown, the monumentally brainless, he didn’t pay attention to any of those notions. His every move say, “ I am a best, I am amazing”.  We have a homework that think how can be a pop star? I think that if you have a purpose to be pop star, don’t give up. Muhammad Ali told” to be great champion you must believe you are the best”.

About bumper sticker, I don’t know How should I write and approximately which word. I thought and imagined, I decided to put bumper sticker “Don’t give up”, because we learn about pop star. For example, I research about Muhammad Ali and Elizabeth Taylor, read about Michael Jackson. Three of them was pop star, how read they didn’t give up. If you want to be pop star, don’t give up and win all failure, then you will be lucky.

          I learned not only about pop culture, I got many knowledge for my outlook. I didn’t know “super bowl”, I thought it is concert or show, but it is American football.

I didn’t interest to “Grammys” and “Oscars” nominations, I didn’t think those are important, and didn’t watch all video, when I watched I interested, of course I don’t know most of nominators. Next time, I will try to know and I should watch more movies.

          I like “pop culture “subject, I learn many things, but we should talk and I don’t like talking when men looking me. I graduated from Girls high school, it is difficult to me. I know when we talk our English language will be improve, I will try to talk more in the class.
